Freedom, Innovation and Intelligence are the
hallmarks of Sights and Sounds Productions.
Sights and Sounds Productions grew from the bohemian music scene at
Dalhousie U. in the 1980s into a national sensation as a result of its
support for free expression of Canadian youth. Dance empowers the
individual to behave creatively and socially. As co-founders of the Spirit
movement, we developed programs to allow high-schools to promote the School
Dance as an excellent fundraising opportunity because of a belief that
“Dance is the Art of Freedom”. Enjoying the freedom to dance to individual
musical tastes and preferences is why Sights and Sounds Productions always
offers an all-request format with young, cool and interactive DJs.
Innovation is what makes Sights and Sounds Productions extremely special.
Sights and Sounds Productions launched the video dance party concept over
25 years ago. The emergence of video turned a Dance into a multiple sensory
Event. A Sights and Sounds production allows the wallflower to lose himself
or herself to the energy of the screen as well as to the beat of the music.
The Sights and Sounds Dance Event evolved further with the progression of
lighting and digital sound systems. Booming crisp music, club lasers, fog
machines, intelligent lighting and other enhancements look to make the 2009
National Tour of Sights and Sounds Productions the greatest collection of
Dance Events. Sights and Sounds Productions continues to innovatively
combine top local DJs, the latest music and quality sound & lighting
systems to ensure a premium dance experience.
Youth Intelligence is the New Faze in the evolution of Sights and Sounds
Productions. In its continuing efforts to improve the Dance Party concept,
Sights and Sounds will be trying to record the preferences and penchants of
Canadian youth through participation in camping and music festivals across
the nation. Look for Sights and Sounds at the 2009 Cutting Edge Music
Festival, the Revelstoke Beach Bash, the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and other
celebrations of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!
